| The Adelaide Auxiliary was set up by Sir Guy and Lady Henderson in the mid seventies. Its aim was to provide a hot lunch daily for the Adelaide Primary School students and to do other small things which the school was unable to provide. For many years, the Auxiliary was managed by Lu Wanklyn with great vim and determination. With her departure, a committee was formed to fill her shoes. As the school has grown, new programs have been added to the Auxiliary's efforts: a graduation trip for the grade 6 class to a family island, a Christmas party sponsored by the Lyford Cay club, and a festive Thanksgiving lunch. A reading program and computer program are the latest additions to the Auxiliary's activities. |

Our Reading Program Every Wednesday and Friday morning, teams of volunteers spend a delightful hour under the shade of trees, helping and encouraging the children to read aloud. The teachers have noticed a marked improvement in the reading ability of the students involved in this program. |
